Kathy Witkowicki, Executive Director

Kathy started the Stand-By-Me Mentoring Program in 1996 with the assistance of state and local grants, fundraising events, community donations and sheer hardwork, later expanding the program to eight campuses within the Sonoma Valley Unified School District.  In 1999, she helped form the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, and has been the Executive Director since its inception. 

Kathy is also a community activist involved in many local organizations including the Board of Directors for Speedway Children's Charities, the Advisory Council of the Sonoma Community Center, and a long-time member of the Sonoma Plaza Kiwanis Club.  

Kathy's career began as a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room practices.  She has resided in Sonoma for 29 years, and shares a large combined family of six adult children with her new husband, JP.

Tina Baldry, Program Director

Tina Baldry has an extensive background in Early Childhood Education and Administration.  She was a teacher of young children in San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma County and owned and operated Ready Set Go Preschool in Glen Ellen serving children throughout the valley. 

Over the past 24 years, she has been a committed community volunteer, served on the Rainbow Valley Preschool Board of Directors, Sonoma Valley Girl's Softball Board of Directors, Project Grad at Sonoma Valley High School and served as President of the Field of Dreams for two terms. 

Her love of children brought her to the the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance in the year 2000 and nine years later oversees program direction and art design.   Tina has two adult children, Bryanne and Rashell, and resides in Sonoma with her husband, Ernie.

Laura Zimmerman, Director of Development and Community Outreach

Laura Zimmerman brings a strong history of community service to the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance.  She has worked locally on behalf of education, music and children for the past 8 years.

Prior to moving to Sonoma, Laura worked in television news, as an anchor and reporter, for KGO, KTVU and KNTV in the San Francisco Bay Area. She and her husband, Jeff, have 3 children, Cali, Jack and Chris and have a small Zinfandel vineyard in the Sonoma Valley.
