COVID-19 Information

January 2022

The Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance continues to collaborate with our partners, local school district, school sites, healthcare providers, government officials, and other organizations to determine how we can best serve our matches now and in the coming weeks.

The safety of our students, staff, and volunteers is our top priority. We will follow all guidelines set by Sonoma Valley Unified School District, and only vaccinated mentors are permitted on campus to mentor this year.

We ALL must follow protocols when visiting school campuses so we can continue to mentor in a safe manner.

  • Please provide proof of vaccination to your Mentor Center Facilitator.
  • All mentors and mentees are required to wear masks while indoors at the mentor center.
  • All mentors will be required to check in at the school office before proceeding to the mentor center. No exceptions.

Given the fluidity of COVID, we ask that you read all emails from the office and stay informed. We will update you with new information as it becomes available.

In the meantime, we remain thankful for the dedication of our mentors and staff for their efforts as we all do our part to support one another through this on-going challenging time.

We care about the health of all in our community, so please continue to follow the CDC and the California Department of Health (DHS) to prevent possible exposure or spread of COVID-19. Additional reading is available in the COVID Handbook provided by SVUSD.
