In every organization, there are individuals who help to propel it forward. For the Mentoring Alliance in Sonoma, that person is Tina Baldry. For an impressive 23 years, Tina has been an integral part of the Sonoma Mentoring Alliance, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of mentors and mentees alike.
If you’ve ever been involved in mentoring, Tina is a name you know well. She plans activities, conducts trainings, and plays an indispensable role in what makes the Mentoring Alliance so special. She has served as a dedicated mentor to Janeth and Jasmin, two sisters whose lives she has enriched. It’s a testament to her unwavering support and genuine care that these mentoring relationships have lasted for 20 and 11 years, respectively. Just like the Mentoring Alliance itself, Tina has stood by them, offering guidance and walking alongside them through the ups and downs of life.
In addition to her two official mentees, Tina’s has touched the lives of countless mentees throughout her tenure. One of her remarkable achievements is the creation of the RoadMap program—an innovative career development initiative. Through RoadMap, Tina has exposed young minds to various businesses, giving them a glimpse into different career paths and fostering their belief in what’s possible. By broadening horizons, Tina has empowered the next generation to dream big and reach for the stars.
As Tina prepares to retire at the end of June, the Mentoring Alliance will undoubtedly feel a void—a testament to the immense impact she has made. We will miss her dearly but wish her the very best as she embarks on this new chapter. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide future mentors and mentees.
